How long is a fishing trip?
Our minimum fishing trip is 3 hours. Maximum fishing trip 9 hours.
Your decision after that, you decide starting time and finishing time.

Will tuition be included?
Yes, guests will be advised how to improve their fishing skills.
We are especially proud of our fly casting tuition.

Do I need my own transport?
No, we provide a pick up and set down service to/from your accommodation.

What is included in a fishing trip?
We collect you from your accommodation and take you to the chosen location, depending on what species of fish you are interested in catching.
We supply all fishing rods, tackle and bait required on the day.
Life jackets, rainwear and rubber boots/wellingtons as required.
Cleaning, filleting, and bagging of your fish.
Packed lunches provided when/if required.
Fly Casting and Fly Tying as required.

Can children be accommodated on fishing trips?
Yes, children are welcome on all fishing trips.
We have many children who frequently come on boat fishing trips on the Lakes of Killarney.

Can I fish for more than one species on a fishing trip?
Yes, you may fish for different species on any fishing trip.

Can I fish on more than one location during a fishing trip?
Yes, you may fish several locations on a trip.
Locations include many local rivers, managed lakes stocked with rainbow trout and of course boat fishing on the Lakes of Killarney.

What species of fish?
Salmon: Season 18th January to 30th September. Best times on the river are mid June to 30th September. Best times on the lake are late March to July.

Brown trout. Season to 1st February (TBC) to 12th October. Best times April to 12th October.

Rainbow Trout: Season 1st April to 30th Septembet. Lake only.

Sea Trout: Season to 1st February to 12th October. Best times on the river are May to late August. Best times on the lake May to October and best time for sea fishing March to mid June.

Bass (Sea Bass): No closed season. Best times are late March till mid November.

Mullet: No closed season. Best times April to late October.

Pollock: No closed season. Best at mid May to mid November.

Wrasse, Trigger fish, Garfish, Mackerel and Herring. Best times from June to mid October.
